Description
The Sartoflow Smart is a modular, small-scale benchtop tangential flow filtration (TFF) system optimized for ultrafiltration (UF) and diafiltration (DF) in downstream bioprocessing. It is ideally suited for process development, clinical trial scale, and small-batch cGMP production of biologics such as monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, and recombinant proteins.
Features:
- Supports membrane surface areas from 50 cm² to 0.14 m², with optional expansion via cassettes.
- Includes a Sartocon® Slice 200 cassette holder, accommodating areas from 200 cm² to 0.14 m².
- Low-shear 4-piston membrane pump and low recirculation volumes (≈ 20 mL) support high yields and gentle processing.
- Automated retentate valve and three pressure sensors (feed, retentate, permeate) allow precise control of TMP, pressure, and flows.
- User interface via 7″ touch panel with real-time readouts, trend curves, on-the-fly parameter changes, and logbook integration.
- Recirculation tank of 1 L (polysulfone, transparent) with vortex breaker and magnetic stir bar; can be replaced by Flexboy single-use bag stand.
